Step Tracking
Every Step Tracked.
Every Goal Earned.
A step counter app that fits inside your full fitness picture.
TrainMate syncs with Apple Health on iOS and uses a native step counter plus Health Connect on Android. Set personalized daily goals and see your steps alongside your workouts and nutrition — not in a separate app.
How It Works

More Than a Number on Your Wrist
Personalized step target
Not everyone needs 10,000 steps. TrainMate lets you set a daily goal that matches your lifestyle, activity level, and training schedule — a target that actually makes sense for you.
Steps inside your training context
Your steps live alongside your workouts and meals. See your full activity picture in one place — how much you moved, trained, and ate, all together.
Build your streak
Hit your daily goal consistently and watch your streak grow. Simple motivation that works — especially when your friends can see it on the social feed.
Works on both platforms
Apple Health integration on iOS. Native step counting plus Health Connect sync on Android. No matter your device, your steps are tracked.
“Having steps, workouts, and food in one app means I finally see the full picture. I was walking 3k steps on rest days and didn't even realize it.”
“Love that the step goal is customizable — 10k felt random, but 7,500 actually fits my training days. The Health Connect sync on Android is seamless too.”
Common Questions
Yes. On iOS, TrainMate reads step data from Apple Health, so any wearable that syncs with Apple Health (Apple Watch, Garmin, Fitbit, etc.) will feed steps into TrainMate automatically. On Android, it syncs with Health Connect, which supports most major wearable brands.
Both, depending on your device. On iOS, TrainMate reads step data from Apple Health — it doesn't count steps independently. On Android, TrainMate has a native step counter and also syncs with Health Connect for comprehensive data from other sources.
Yes. You can set any daily step goal that works for your lifestyle. Whether that's 6,000 or 15,000 steps, TrainMate tracks your progress throughout the day.
Only if you share it. You can post step milestones and achievements to the public feed, but your daily step count isn't shared automatically.
No. On iOS, steps come from Apple Health with no additional battery impact. On Android, the native step counter uses the phone's low-power step sensor, which has minimal battery impact.
